The Digital Library Initiatives group focuses on the digitization and web-based dissemination of images from collections at the University Libraries, the Reuther Library and Labor Archives, various university departments, and other library and museum partners.

Instructional Media Support

The Instructional Media Support team provides what has traditionally been referred to as media or classroom support. 

Instructional Media Design

What is Instructional Media Design:

This team focuses on the design of classroom, lecture hall and new media related to teaching and learning and provides support for special events on campus.

C&IT Help Desks

C&IT has located two experienced Help Desk Analysts -- Coco Ware and Boe Esan -- in the TRC to provide administrative and advanced technical support to faculty using the university's enterprise-wide academic technology applications.

Blackboard

The Blackboard Academic Suite is a course management and learning system chosen by Wayne State faculty in 1999 for its full features and ease of use. This Web-based course system delivers all or part of many regularly scheduled University courses; provides a secure location on the Web for course materials, e-Portfolios, and storing and managing files; includes tools for creating and delivering online assessments and surveys and for storing student performance results; enhances teaching and learning; and increases communication and collaboration among students and faculty.

Office for Teaching and Learning

The Wayne State University Office for Teaching and Learning (OTL) is a dynamic and innovative place, leading campus‐wide teaching and learning initiatives, investigating new learning technologies and methods, and sharing this information with faculty and instructors across the campus and outreach centers.

At University Television (UTV), effective broadcast and multimedia communication are our specialty. UTV’s skilled staff can help Wayne State faculty and staff convey a compelling message in the most appropriate medium, using our creative expertise and innovative technologies.
